Lee Alexander McQueen – March 17th 1969- February 11, 2010
If a reflection in the window of the soul of this designer could be seen in his collections, by analysis, he was very disturbed indeed. Brilliant, but held together only by pins and needles.
Dark imagery contrasted with bright theatrical designs. Skulls, Snakes, Animals, Feathers, Catacombs, texture, texture, texture, constantly looking for that inspiration. The edited collections offered for sale to the masses were quite beautiful. I think a designer like this comes along only a few times in a lifetime.
But only his demons could say what drove him to hang himself.
