Hey Everyone,
Well, there’s enough 16 patches finished to start putting together a little layout. Isn’t this fun to see how the quilt will come together?
I keep plugging away and have now figured out that a good size will be using almost 100 total blocks. That’s 50 pinwheels and 50 16 patches. All counted after re-sewing the pinwheels, I have 69 pinwheel blocks! So plenty, plenty of those.
I’ll keep plugging away at this and post the updates as they come along.
In the mean time, we got the letter from CCI about sending pictures in for Einstein’s matriculation. Friends, IT IS SO SAD that Einstein will be heading off to go through Service Dog training! We have 6 weeks left to go and there is still so much we want to do!
I guess this is what a lot of puppy raisers face and all just say do the best you can. The dog will be who it is and there’s really not much more you can do. Our job is just about finished. I’ll post more about that in a separate post.
And too…will need to also update you all on the ACL recovery. It’s going good. I’m still just slightly behind the protocol but very BIG progress was made this past week! I rode the bicycle!!! Whoo Hoo! This is a huge, huge milestone for recovery! And with the bicycle I’ve now been given the go ahead to drop the crutches, ditch the brace, and start walking!
Friends, I can’t tell you how great it felt to put my shoes on and walk out the door, around the block, and back home. Oh…more later…!
