Today is National Doughnut Day!
So which one of you wants to go with me to pick up our FREE doughnut?
C’mon. Why do I even ask that question?
Einstein and I stopped off at Dunkin Donuts and picked up our complimentary doughnut this afternoon.
Who knew of such a thing as National Doughnut Day?
It’s amazing just how much stuff is out there for FREE just by looking for it! I’m not kidding. At first when I thought about doing this challenge a week ago I was beginning to worry if I’d be able to find something for FREE every day. So far it is day 6 and I’ve been really fortunate. Without too much effort I really have been able to find stuff for FREE!
Granted, for some stuff, I have had to purchase a side product but still, some of these transactions have been just well worth it. Take for example this afternoon:
Transaction: At my local Dunkin Donuts store I walked up to the counter and asked if they were participating in National Doughnut Day. But of course! Just purchase any coffee and pick out ANY doughnut of your choice! The best part about this was since it was after 3pm all coffee, hot or iced, are only .99c! Double Score! So I picked up a 16 ounce iced coffee and a chocolate sprinkle doughnut.
Out of Pocket: .99 cents plus tax for a total of $1.05.
Rolling Out of Pocket: $13.72
All smiles here! Although I’m going to save the doughnut for breakfast!
