Portland trip re-cap, waterfall chasing!
On our last day in Portland our gracious hosts drove us all out to ‘the Gorge’. The Gorge is a canyon created by the Columbia River as it winds its way past Portland en route to the Pacific Ocean. The day we went was terribly foggy so visibility was not at its best but we did stop at Multnomah Falls…
This mammoth waterfall is right off the highway and easily accessed. A walking path leads you up along switchbacks to a bridge…
where you can get up close and personal with the falls and see a great view of the river below. Looking over the bridge toward the river you get a good rush watching the water spill over the edge!
I took a short 1 minute video…
I love these Oregon waterfalls!
