Dara at 8 months

This is Dara.  She is our newest pup we’ve been raising for Canine Companions for Independence and she has been a handful!

She is super smart just like her predecessors Jamba and Einstein but the fact she’s a she is a whole new experience for us.

It has also been a few years since we’ve raised a dog so relearning all this stuff has been a re awakening.  It was easy to forget how much patience and time is needed to raise one of these dogs.

And then there’s Winter to put on top of it.  Here we are doing our daily morning walk.  The backyard has been a mudpit which means walks walks walks!

Today I am off to a sew-in to work on a project for our quilt show…more in that to come…very exciting!
