Hi Everyone,
Here’s a few projects I’ve matched up from my stash of fabrics and my stash of patterns that I think will be fun to work on during this National Sewing Month.
First of all, I need some pants so I pulled out The Katherine Hepburn muslin and tried it on. I had made some edits to it when I made a trial pair using a linen…
But I am ashamed to say it but I simply CANNOT locate the extra fabric I saved from this project for the waistband and pockets!!! Can you believe I’ve been sitting on this pair of pants for about 2 years waiting for my fabric to miraculously appear in my sewing room? I have absolutely no idea what I did with it. Anyway…I’m going to make another pair in I think a denim and that should give me a really nice pair of trousers for Fall.
Then it is these three patterns that I want to make…
Simplicity 2365 in a silk crepe…Butterick 5612 in a simple orange pin-striped cotton shirting…
And lastly Vogue 1255 in a silk charmeuse (I think it’s silk charmeuse), it actually looks like the fabric that was used in the sample photo on the pattern envelope!
So that’s the line-up as I see it now. I probably won’t get them all finished in September but aren’t these going to be fun? Especially that last one, that Vogue. I’ve read some reviews at patternreview.com and I’m really curious how this will look for us plus-size ladies!
As always, more later!

I’m not normally a ruffles kind of gal, but I really like that last one! Can’t wait to see it made up!
