Just a quick update on MTD. I received the blood and urine reports this past Monday and talked to Dr. Schwartz. All digits look good and there hasn't been much change in the numbers since February so the best belief is an infection. We are on now a 14 day treatment. Poor guy is walking… Continue reading Just a quick update on MTD
Fall Weather is closing in
When I walked the dog this morning there was a decisive chill in the air that comes this time of year. I needed to wear a fleece jacket to fend it off. A flock of Canadian Geese squawed above me as I rounded the park corner towards home and steam was rising on the manmade… Continue reading Fall Weather is closing in
“Hi Cathy…I hear you sew…”
"Hi Cathy...I hear you sew..." came the voice over the telephone. Yeeeesssss I cautiously answer. These revelations by the extended relationships I share are always laced with a hidden agenda. "Well I want to make some cornhole bags for the tournament at (insert local town festival) and I was wondering if you knew anyone that… Continue reading “Hi Cathy…I hear you sew…”
And Chloe was her Name-O!
Say hello to Chloe. Hi Chloe. After we got back home from Oregon/California I went to pick up my dog from the pet resort where they had started a new program to adopt unwanted animals. This was all new and I just couldn't pass on this little kitty. She was actually my fourth choice but… Continue reading And Chloe was her Name-O!
A visit to Britex, San Fran
Don't dare think a trip to Northern California wouldn't include a visit to Britex in San Francisco. On Thursday we travelled down the 101 over the Golden Gate Bridge and into the heart of San Francisco. I don't know what it is about this town but I tend to get a little tense while driving… Continue reading A visit to Britex, San Fran
Cerulean Blue
Crater Lake, Oregon. The water of Crater Lake is intensely blue, a cerulean blue. I first heard the word cerulean while in college to describe a specific color. I honestly thought my art professor just liked saying it. Go ahead, say it. My professor was right, it is fun. Cerulean Cerulean Seeeeeuuuhhhruuuulllliiiiiiaahhn See? It just… Continue reading Cerulean Blue
Waterfall Chasing
I had no idea Oregon had so many waterfalls. Seriously. I'm completely mesmerized now. During my family's reunion I found a book on a shelf inside the rented house with things to do in the area. Featured were many outdoor activities including hikes along the many back road trails. I didn't have the needed clothes… Continue reading Waterfall Chasing
Seeing plenty in Sisters, OR
Three more weeks behind me. Two on the road and one heading up a community festival. This time, travel was to Oregon and Northern California. These were family visits combined with some much needed R&R. Welcome to Sisters, Oregon! It just was entirely coincidence that a family reunion taking place over the second weekend… Continue reading Seeing plenty in Sisters, OR
From the Prairie to the Last Frontier to the Crossroads of America, a busy May!
Well it has been a busy few weeks for me and I'm going to need to do a few posts just to get it all in. In April I went to the 2009 edition of the International Quilt Festival...so I'll need to do a post on that when I get a chance. There were some… Continue reading From the Prairie to the Last Frontier to the Crossroads of America, a busy May!
Introducing ‘The Fabric Divas’ – a new find!
When Fabrics by Dyllis closed last year I was pretty sad. You know, it is a very traumatic event for fashion sewers when a reliable resource goes out of business! Tragic I say! It was this cute little shop that had amazing fabrics! Well, about two months ago a friend of mine told me about… Continue reading Introducing ‘The Fabric Divas’ – a new find!
